These Homemade Elderberry Gummies are a great way to prevent sickness in the winter months. Plus, they taste great so you won't have to force your child to eat them.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup elderberry syrup, cold
  • ¼ cup pure tart cherry concentrate (not juice)
  • ½ cup really hot but not boiling water
  • ⅓ cup gelatin
  • Silicone Molds
Instructions
  1. Have your silicone molds clean, dry and ready to go or grease a glass dish with a thin layer of coconut oil.
  2. You want to move quickly once you start to mix everything so I recommend having your supplies ready (whisk, molds or greased dish…) along with your ingredients premeasured.
  3. Pour the ¼ cup of tart cherry (or elderberry syrup) into the large measuring cup, add the ⅓ cup gelatin and very quickly whisk to dissolve all of the powder.
  4. Add in the hot water and whisk.
  5. Finish by pouring in the cold elderberry syrup and giving one last good whisk.
  6. Carefully but quickly pour the liquid into the molds or glass dish.
  7. Chill about 20 minutes for the molds or until solid. They’ll keep well in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.
