My Favorite Quotes by Mother Teresa

January 1, 2016 By Jenae Leave a Comment

I am going through a huge “inspirational quote” kick lately.  I have this obsession with creating graphics with my favorite quotes.  It is no surprise that many of my favorite quotes come from Mother Teresa.

On another note, I am dying to see the movie The Letters about the life of Mother Teresa (you can see the trailer here).  I am a protestant Christian and don’t understand some of the traditions of Catholicism, but I certainly revere and respect the intense love and compassion this incredible woman of God demonstrated in her lifetime.

Here are just a few of my favorite quotes by Mother Teresa:

One filled with joy preaches without preaching. Mother Teresa

“One filled with joy preaches without preaching.”  -Mother Teresa

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin. Mother Teresa

“Yesterday is gone.  Tomorrow has not yet come.  We have only today.  Let us begin.”  -Mother Teresa

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love. -Mother Teresa

Not all of us can do great things.  But we can do small things with great love.”  -Mother Teresa

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. -Mother Teresa

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”  -Mother Teresa

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples. -Mother Teresa

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”  -Mother Teresa

If you want to bring happiness to the whole world, go home and love your family. -Mother Teresa

“If you want to bring happiness to the whole world, go home and love your family.”  -Mother Teresa

I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things. -Mother Teresa

“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.”  -Mother Teresa

A life not lived for others is not a life. -Mother Teresa

“A life not lived for others is not a life.”  -Mother Teresa
