My Number 1 Tip for Visiting a National Park

My Number 1 Tip for Visiting a National Park

If you are heading to any of the National Parks in the United States or Canada, my number one tip is:

Take a tour guide along.

Yes, you read that right.  The only thing better than enjoying all of the beautiful and memorable scenery is learning its history!  A tour guide is definitely a must.

The only problem is, who wants to take an actual tour guide along (awkward!) or pay for an expensive tour?

The solution to this predicament is super simple:  download the Gypsy Guide App!

We purchased the Yellowstone/Grand Teton Gypsy Guide app (<- affiliate) for our epic family vacation last summer and it was one of the best parts of the trip!  Our kids (10, 8, and 4) loved listening to all the bits of information and history about the parks and we loved the heads-up on the best places to stop!

Because it utilizes GPS, your tour won’t be interrupted just because there is no cell phone service (which seems to be common in any National Park).  Prices for each app range from $6 to $10, which is a total steal for the value that you receive.

Here are several Gypsy Guides in alphabetical order for the most popular National Parks in the U.S. and Canada (some links are affiliate links).  Please note, the following are links to IOS apps, available to use on iPhones.  If you want to download an Android app, you will need to go here.
